Survival Server Lag

Recently Minecraft had a new update from 1.2.5 - 1.3. On the survival server, there is way to much lag to even move. I'm not sure about Tekkit because I don't play on it, but I've tried to fix the lag. I'm assuming It's just the server in general. Me and a friend both tried to connect and It's too laggy to play. Is it just the connection right now? Or does it have to do with the new update?

It has nothing to do with the update, as the servers were running smoothly all day after the update. It is a network issue that will have to be solved from Pri's end. Pri is not home at the moment, so when he returns the problem will be fixed.
In the meantime staff are doing what they can to make the server playable.

We appreciate the input, and hopefully all will be fixed shortly.
