Well before when you were not yet whitelisted on our servers and tried to connect you would receive a message telling you to go to http://signup.renmx.com and whilst that is good it does turn a lot of people away.
So we've now switched to a Greylist which means even people who aren't yet whitelisted can connect to any of our three Minecraft servers. They will have a Grey name in chat and they can walk about, teleport to players, access warps, use /sethome but they cant place blocks, remove blocks or pick up blocks. That is until they signup.
When they signup they will become a "User" automatically. No members of staff need to enter the game and do a reload they will be upgraded to the new rank instantly even if they are currently connected whilst they fill out the signup form.
Hopefully this will get us a lot new members as they can try it out and chat with us before they spend the time to fill out our modest signup form.
