Appeal Statement:
Hi there,
My name is Robin, although many of you may know me as Obbidobbi. Today, I have been banned from these servers for asking questions.
Various players joined the IRC chatroom, names like AlexCarlson and 113mac113 come to mind. Both of them have been previously banned for less than obvious reasons and wanted to talk to a few players that still regularly play on these servers. I would like to stress here that these bans happened over two years ago.
Instead of civilized conversation however, they were met with hostile reactions from one or more people on the RenMX staff and without warning were banned from IRC with the following reason: "Your behavior is not conducive to the desired environment.". The key point here is that they were simple trying to hold a conversation, which, as is my believe, makes the desired environment on these servers more than possible.
However, what does not make this environment possible is administrators calling members of this community, and I quote, a "stupid ass".
Another instance of these hostile tendencies occured just a little earlier during this conversation:[20:34] * You were kicked by AdrianL_11 (go away stupid ass)
Here we see Adrian calling names towards a couple of human beings, which is not conducive towardsd a positive environment. For this reason I would like to call for the investigation and review of AdrianL_11 and what he actually does to help progress and better the environment on the Minecraft and IRC section of these servers.[20:27] <@AdrianL_11> Just wondering. I have sought contact with several of these aforementioned ex-community members, and they have each said to me that they have been barred from this community for unclear reasons. One such reason seems to be guilty by association. What I mean by this is that several people who have been/are still friends with people like iRandomness and Dumskalle123 were banned only because they were associated with them.
Henceforth I am calling for the review of the ban on AlexCarlson.
I believe that, although these people may have exhibited minimal hostile tendencies in the past, I would like to remind everyone of the fact that this was two years ago. People change in these times. Having had contact with Dumskalle123 and 113mac113, I sincerely believe that he has changed his personality since then. I do agree with a demotion from administrator for abuse (unbanning iRandomness).
For this reason I am also calling for a review of the ban on Dumskalle123 and 113mac113.
I am also going to ask for the pardon of the player CoolDudeRuler, who even back in January 2013, when he was banned, has asked for pardon in the form of an apology note to several people. Right here.
Lastly I will ask for my pardon for I do not believe asking for the reason why someone was banned is grounds for barring from this community:
