Some more developments:

Lots of items have been added and work / can be purchased. The purchase log and gift options has been implemented, the gift recipient has been added to the page but isn't yet connected to the back end code. Things are going well though! - I'm hoping to re-implement all the features we currently have in to the new shop so I want gifting enabled before the beta testing begins.

Rank purchasing is now available in the new shop, the gifting options (being able to select which gifts you want to receive) has been coded and is now functional. I'd appreciate it if some of you could test that for me.

The gifting options for the new shop are not stored in the same way as the gifting options on the old shop so you will need to setup your personal gifting options again in the new shop, by default only rank gifts are deactivated for new users and everything else is enabled.

I've also corrected some bugs, there was a statistics bug where sometimes under rare circumstances someone purchasing an item multiple times would not have their multiple purchases merge in to one entry even though the price per unit was the same as their previous purchase. This has now been fixed so new duplicates won't be created, the old duplicates will remain until the old ones fall off the listings however.

First update since the shop went live, now if you make a purchase that is larger than your inventory can hold it simply refunds you the money for the amount you didn't receive.

So for example if you only had a single slot free to hold 64 units of an item but you buy 128 units at R30, you will receive only 64 units and be refunded R15 since you only received half you're only charged half :)

The way that the shop calculates when it should adjust prices has had its formula altered. It will now also take into account the week and month sales when performing its nightly calculations.

So you may see more stable pricing for longer on popular items. I've also added a trending system so it can identify at what prices items best sell at and attempt to keep the items within that range but still fluctuating out of it often to test that the economy hasn't changed on that particular item.

These are backend algorithm changes which will take time to be reflected in the page prices as the shop needs to build up a large data set but you should start seeing the effects over the next few months.
