So i was just flying around one day and i saw diamond blocks. Like anyone else would do said "hey! imma mine that" i mined it and got banned for honey pot. I feel like i should be unbanned because. 1.I was not warned it was honeypot. 2.I have a town with a marketplace that needs me to be a mayor. 3. Instaban for this is a very rough punishment. 4. I have referred many people to this server. I woud appeal through mcbans but it is being dumb. Thank you-srgtsam

These things are placed there to attract griefers so that they destroy the honeypot and get banned instead of griefing players builds.

Why would we warn you that it is a honeypot? We say clearly when you join, NO GRIEFING. You know as well as I do that Diamond Blocks do not occur naturally in Minecraft, they can only be there by a player placing them, so what right did you have to try and steal these diamond blocks?

I'd like a better explanation and some culpability.

Diamond ores have a %10 chance of spawning in minecraft. Diamond blocks are very nice. When ANYONE sees unclaimed diamond blocks in the middle of nowhere of course they are going to mine it. Of course you wont mine it because you know about these unfair "Traps." Yes some like to compare it to a cop with a radar gun but there are speed limits and some cops let them go off. Cops dont put up fake speed limit signs or have unmarks challenge cars to races. Iron or gold blocks or maybe a house i can see but not diamond blocks. The definition of griefing: A griefer is a player in a multiplayer video game who deliberately irritates and harasses other players within the game, using aspects of the game in unintended ways. Who would i be harming buy taking these diamond blocks? So my main points are
1. Diamond blocks attract everyone not griefers
2. That was an unfair trap
3. At least give a warning
4. I was harming no one.

the simple fact is that you are not allowed to damage or mine anyones build for any reason without express permission from the builder. diamond blocks "not ore" do not occur naturally therefore they had to have been placed there, ergo someone built them. therefore anyone destroying them is automatically guilty of griefing.

and the whole "i didnt know" or "it was an unfair trap" argument is completly bogus.
you are responsible for your actions, no one told you or forced you in any way to damage or attempt to mine that block, thats all on you. your responsible to be able to control yourself and follow the rules.
