Splash potions

Sun Oct 13, 2013 5:48 pm

There needs to be some sort of rule or restriction of the usage of splash potions.
I've been killed three times today and lost everything.
PLEASE do something about this.

I know you weren't around when I first added the keep items on death feature so I will explain our intentions.

This feature was only meant to keep your items when you die from natural causes. Mostly fall damage. I allow the splash potion damage for those that want to PVP. If you don't want to PVP do not antagonise those that do and don't put yourself in places where PVP is enabled.

So, today I teleported to my good friend Lewboi100. However, it appears that Hobo tricked Lewboi into getting me to teleprt there. Hobo was waiting there with a splash potion. I lost my god pick and my VodkaDK head, along with a bunch of good building materials. But I know, I know. Its all my fault for teleporting to a trusted friend.

So now you can't even trust your friends thanks to this low-life named hobo.

You should blame Lewboi for getting you in to that situation. Also /spawn out.

Precisely. So like I said, you can't even trust your friends when Hobo, ExciteFame, Saxbudgie, Betapuffle are involved. They are purposely not starting a town so newer, or unfamiliar people don't know they're affiliated. They're taking advantage of the rules & dynamics of how the Survival Server is set up. Is this the way we're supposed to play? I dunno, it sounds like they belong on Anarchy.

I'm evaluating the way our item death system is and I will be making an announcement about the changes tomorrow to re-balance PVP on the server.

I jut read the changes and found them to be fair enough. As far as I am concerned death control helps us a lot and in a sense takes a bit of the survival sensation to it. However it is a very nice feature. Having that said, and much like Pri stated, do avoid PVP like areas and even more so if you know the place might be prone to attacks.

Survival might include these tricks which, in terms of game play, are legit in the sense that there is no glitch being exploited, just a simple predator's trap. In a way this should be seen as keeping/staying in your toes when going outside of the safety of the town and into the, properly named, wilderness.
