RenMX No Longer Accepting Monetary Contributions

A few days ago Paypal closed my Paypal account and I've decided not to appeal so we are no longer accepting real money from players. This may change in the future although I doubt it.

I'd like to thank everyone who contributed up to this point it has been very appreciated and helped pay for various upgrades to the server over the past 8 months.

Going forward I don't want anyone to worry about the longevity of the server. Our hosting costs are very small and we operated for more than two years without accepting any money. I will continue to fund future upgrades and there is still a lot of money left over from the contributions I received up until this point.

So to put it simply, the server isn't going anywhere, nothing changes we just aren't accepting money any longer. The donation perks will continue to be offered and grow and we will focus on providing new donation perks for our current donators and those who receive the donator benefits through voting.

It does not seem to be a big deal that there is no way to obtain operating costs, as you explained in your post, but if it ever gets critical and you do not want to deal with PayPal, I am sure you could find a way using AdSense (although that does deduct taxes and now that I think about it AdSense is really just for gaining money via ads).

Operating costs aren't really a bother. I've always intended to keep this server regardless of Minecraft.

The only parts I've added that were really for Minecraft were our many many SSD's and the recent CPU upgrade. Apart from those the server would have always existed like it has. I use it for a lot of stuff beyond just Minecraft. This is just one luxury we have that other servers don't.

Now if you dont care to deal with paypal i can appeal for you if it is just a matter if you dont want to take the time becouse like to see you get rewarded for our good work. you seem to really care about the server unlike other host are just in it to fund there computer or make irl money or keep perms from us without us donating to get them. im talking about like lockette and towny i saw a server no name calling here but made u donate 15$ just for towny and lockette.
Anyways, ill be happy to try and get an appeal in if you want me to.
