Old SMP isn't coming back. There is no point to that at all. Having a controlled SMP experience with a border that we can control and pre-render is much better. The nostalgia of having the old map would soon go and I'd have wasted hours setting it up for nothing.

We now have telepads enabled for all user classes on the current SMP map, the border has also been expanded so you have new places to explore, new bases to create and ways to link all your bases together similar to how Stargates worked but much more reliable.

2012 Survival is also old. Let's wait for one year and our brain will respond we want old survival. I mean, the current is also old. There are new buildings but most of them are old already.
It makes sense since some of us are probably tired of Minecraft even there are new updates.

Good bye Tekkit. Creative will be happy to have his players back.

I dont get it though, what should stop you on coming back anyways? you can always just download the old map and remake the structures in the current map. Now you have the option of landscapes and what not that are different, you can just copy the old or make something new and greater or even improve the old ones.

It's not like I have a problem with the server, I'm just so extraordinarily bored with the game.
I just thought that the old map + the community would intrigue me into wanting to play the game again.
