Stealing

I'm just looking for some clarification to the stealing rule. In the rules it states that you can steal from unprotected chests as long as you don't have to grief to get to them.

"No Stealing (Anarchy is exempt for obvious reasons)
This includes taking Blocks, Picture Frames, Torches, Contents of Chests* & Furnaces, Animals, Horses, Mobs, Mob Spawners, Tools, even crops. Any object that you could consider "yours" is an object you are not allowed to steal from someone else.

*Please note stealing from an unprotected chest (one you can get to without griefing to access it) is allowed."

However, I've been told several times by several players and mods, that stealing isn't allowed at all. Out of respect for the mods, I have not stolen since told this.
If stealing is no longer allowed, please update the rules to show this. If it is allowed as long as it done"legally", please inform the moderators of this rule.

IMO, to keep some aspect of survival, stealing should be allowed if ppl don't protect their chests. That being said, I will respect the decision of the admins/owner.

One last question, if someone keeps their horses out in the open where you can get to them without griefing, can you take the saddles. Seems to me this would fall under the legal stealing rule, but again, I'll respect the decision made on this also.

The rules allow stealing from unprotected chests however the change in the rules permitting people to steal from chests was only put in place two days ago and several moderators have yet to read the updated rule page even though I replied in the topic to bump it.

If you find a horse out in the open I wouldn't steal it as you may get banned if someone finds out it was you. We currently only allow stealing from unprotected chests, this may change at a later date as the rules are being updated frequently.
