Tekkit Creative?

I believe that a creative tekkit world/server would be brilliant and enhance everyone's minecraft experience on Renegades. Either a tekkit world or a complete transfer of worlds into tekkit or a 4th creative serv. that runs tekkit. I would love railcraft and redstone power especially for my project (and the TNT nerf! (http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/safeexplosions/ OR http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aJaCbMIA ... e=youtu.be) i do not know if the first one still allows for a blow up effect/sound w/o damage so that is why i included the 2nd link).

I think having a creative tekkit would take all the fun out of crafting. and building up things. instead of hard work and crafting. you just get everything you want when you want how you want. which is not very challenging at all. Tekkit itself is a very unique modification of minecraft. Giving tekkit creative. would cause much Lag like DB said. More Griefing. I feel also it would have major issues. the current tekkit we have is already a big job to deal with already.

So i doubt we will not have a tekkit creative server. due to many aspects.

I'm all for giving people what they want but you've seen already how demanding tekkit is. It regularly lags to fuck because people build all manner of ridiculous shit. Having the server in Survival mode at-least slows down the speed at which people can build these contraptions.

If we launched a creative tekkit server I fear it would be unplayable within a matter of hours. So I just can't see a way to offer that, sorry.

Also just so you know, this isn't because our server isn't up to the task. We have more than enough RAM and a very fast quad core CPU. The issue is Tekkit and the Minecraft server in general. They both severely underutilise the processor. We have 8 processing threads across for processing cores and the server software only really uses one thread. At maximum efficiency it utilise just one single core leaving three doing nothing. The game needs to be properly optimised for us to offer things like creative mode tekkit.

I understand, maybe you could incorporate a tekkit hub in the tekkit serv so there could be the tekkit survival and a tekkit creative, u culd also restrict blocks, the main reason i think tekkit should have a creative world is b/c not for building contraptions cuz there really is no point if u r in creative, i just think...wat about just getting a bukkit plugin for railcraft and/or redpower cuz those r rly what i need and it wont slowdown the serv that much cuz they r just a couple more plugins (plus railcraft is so much easier and reliable than fb cart)

mostly i like the little things like posts/half slabs/lamps that kind of decor stuff not necessarily the whole machine shbang and like the marble/basalt extra blocks and stuff

It is the ability for a process to use more than one thread. Our server has 8 threads but only one is utilised. Basically 12.5% of our CPU's threads are being used which translates in to about 25% of the total processor being utilised while the rest does nothing.

If the server software was fully multithreaded our CPU usage would be about 75-100% which would result in a nice lag free experience. We have enough RAM and it's fast memory. We have SSD's for storage wich no issues there either. The only bottleneck we have is the Minecraft server.
