MC/EC/LC Redstone Ideas, Anyone?

Hey guys. I'm looking for ideas of something to make with redstone that is massive and unique, that would be worthy of as high a rank as possible. The only issue is that once I start thinking at that scale all I can think of is massive computers that do different things, but that's not quite unique, so I need ideas from other people!

As I recall you did a image display based on items did you not? So what about a painter perse, you chose a color and then navigate the board to select where you want to paint, press a button to paint that pixel, or choose another color. You could use colored beacons to do this with maps, or some other kind of display.

a rube goldberg machine is an insanely complex machine that does something mundane, like throwing a snowball, opening a door. something super silly. I've always had a fondness for these!
