Not using afk machines is one of the clear rules of the server. If you had read through them fully you would have been aware of this.

Are they even up at the spawn when you first join? I would recommend doing something like that. It may be in the book too. I haven't read it in a while but even if it is I would still make it bold when you first join to make it more clear...

The last thing that comes up before you go out into the spawn area is a link to the full list of rules. If a player doesn't take the time to read through them all then there is no one to blame when they break one but themselves. The website rules are updated regularly so everyone should have a read through of them once in a while just to make sure they're up to date.
