Constant abuse

I'd like to say before I go into this, I have a complete right to report how I feel about this subject, and I wish that any bias you have against me not be held against me, since that'd be unfair judgement.

Multiple times Blackie has muted me for reasons which are completely unreasonable. I just got muted for "offending someone" by saying, in the literal, 'Fuck the English language.' This isn't the first time this has happened to me, nor I believe it will be the last since continuously I have been both muted and kicked by other mods and admins multiple times for invalid reasons. I wish to be able to chat without having a constant fear of banishment held over my head due to some stupid statement such as 'Fuck the English language.' I won't go into detail about other accounts of being kicked/muted for unreasonable things, since I have no proof to support these other claims, so take it as you will. I understand how I am seen by this server, this community, and I know it's not savory whatsoever. Though this doesn't mean I should continuously take shit for everything I do, from having a nice conversation, to simply making a claim about a language. I have in the recent tried to change who I portray myself, yet every time I try to do something nice or make a simple joke, I get slandered and criticized due to my past actions on the server, in which at those times I had been going through harsh times at home, and I had been still just an underdeveloped middle school brat. I'm not saying that I'm still not a brat, or a complete asshole, but I've been trying to change, and yet I completely get nothing but shit on for doing so. I was even afraid of making this post for the longest time due to the fear of being banned for it.

This is simply me stating my opinion, and asking that I could stop getting shit on all the time, and for once not criticized by the entire community including the staff. I love this community, but recently I can't help but feel like a scapegoat and some piece of trash by everyone in it. Sorry to say this, but I had to say it at some point. If I get banned for this, I'd love to say it'd be a completely legitimate reason, but it really wouldn't be.

I'm not asking for everyone to just forget about the past things I've done on this server, and with this community, I'm just asking that everyone would stop holding a grudging bias against me and treat me as they would treat themselves and everyone else.

Sorry everyone, but this had to be said, since it's been a heavy load on my shoulders for a while now, and I just couldn't go on with the weight bearing down on me.

You talk like that (from the screenshot you provided above), you're gonna get muted. Everyone gets muted eventually.

As for the other things you've said about the abuse you're receiving, I've not seen it. You are of course free to make a post like this and share your concerns. I would welcome you to maintain this thread and add to it with screenshots of yourself being victimised. It will help in proving your claims and allowing me to take action against anyone who treats you unfairly.

You won't be banned for speaking up about abuse and hostilities, I want everyone to feel welcome and although it may be uncomfortable it's important that these issues are not ignored.

I'm torn on this matter. I would love to see the full conversation. Because what I read was Kody trying to help someone, misunderstood what the person was asking then stated "fuck you English" as a noted misunderstanding of what he was asking. It seems by the screenshot it wasn't just kody who misunderstood him it was Gray as well who asked if it was Dragonspyre. As for the staff I haven't seen abuse towards players or bias actions. But as Pri has stated in the post above. Screenshot and Share. No one should feel they are getting harassed or treated unfairly. This is a game and we are all here to have fun. If it is going on, it will be dealt with.

Imma respond to the part about my mute. I was on skyblock when chat catches my eye. Chat had been fine so I had just left it run it's course. Until I see "Fuck the english language" now I thought hey its nepeta being nepeta (not in an offensive way) until then I saw that 2 players then said they were highly offened by this which is were I felt I needed to step in. At this point I scrolled up and all I saw, since chat goes up only so far, is just that so too stop a arguement and to show that even if you think its funny it offends people from those complaints I muted nepeta for 30 mins for being offensive. Nepeta couldve taken the 30 mins which is the first mute acp has recorded of nepeta.i dont just give out mutes here and there I think about it. What happened after that is something I wasnt impressed with.nepeta then proceeded to go onto irc and had to be given 2 warnings before leaving.

On a seperate note. Myself and other staff are getting sick of people that are muted joining irc and are pushing the staff's patience. This is not directly towards nepeta but to ever person who has done so. Please do not push us by going onto irc while muted it only makes it worse thank you.

I agree with the IRC thing. Soon we will be handing out bans for players that evade mutes by using IRC.

As a Staff member you have to keep in mind that people may get offended over everything and if I personally muted everyone who was offended by what someone has said I would have muted the whole server 10 times over. We as staff have to look at it as face value. We mute to control situations. It sounds to me that the people who were saying they were offended could of not been serious I mean come on. It was a off hand comment and it wasn't directed to any single person. Agreed Nepa has a tainted rep. but as a Staff member you need to also keep in mind that we judge by each situation. As I agree with he shouldn't have gone into IRC and yes IRC has been a issue in the past with muted/banned players. I think more of a "Hey whats going on?' or asking the person why they are offended might have been a cleaner, easier way to handle this.
