For some odd reason I can't seem to be able to get onto any of the server websites except for the forums and the home page. This means I can't get on irc. Is there anyone else with this problem?

The server is currently down, probably for Pri's maintenance he mentioned. I assume that is the reason.

Server is back so I assume irc is also back, and a correction: Server was down because Pri was in the hospital and his internet went out.

I like to clarify that.
IRC server is different from Minecraft servers. Rambo is saying that if MC servers are down, you could not have access in our IRC page.
IRC can still be accessible in other chat clients.
