I appreciate that it's confusing coming from servers that are fair game on anything unprotected.

We've chosen not to do that because not all builds are suited to a town/outpost or people want to build a community project that involves players from many different towns and they don't want to leave their towns to be able to build together in one protected location.

We're totally not ignorant to the fact players will find varying rules coming from other servers and we don't expect you to instantly know what our rules are, indeed many of our rules are applicable to most servers and there's just a few which aren't. Honest mistakes happen, we're not looking to penalise genuine mistakes.
