Staff Appreciation

I just wanted to make this post to convey how appreciative I am of our staff. I know that for the most part it is a thankless job and you don't get many kudos. Sometimes your actions can go unseen and it can feel like the questions you receive and the help you dish out never ends.

It's a hard job, many players see staff positions as like being royalty but it isn't like that at all it is just a very time consuming position that eats into your play time. It also requires a lot of learning as administrating a server is not as easy as it looks, rolling users back, placing correct bans, investigating and learning our software all takes time and patience.

The last few weeks I have not been around as much and I have been unable to login to the game. But I have been watching on IRC when I've been able and I have seen you guys working at your best and solving issues amongst yourselves and I am very grateful.

You guys are the faces of our server, when new people enter and they need to ask a question or need some help it is you guys that greet them. You're the ambassadors and I'm very proud with how you portray the server in your staff rolls.

So I just wanted to thank you for what you already do so well and let you know I don't take any of it for granted. I hope to be able to play soon once we get into a better routine at home with Lily. Some exciting things are coming in the future for our server and I can't wait to work with all of you on those future endeavors.

The staff are pretty amazing I've seen staff on different servers and games and they are pretty bad; tour staff are all nice, and don't hold grudges. They even have human sense when it comes to some things not in the rule book. I'm very grateful to have such a gret staff board and I hope you guys can keep it up!

I agree, we have a very level headed staff that doesn't simply have knee-jerk reactions. Most responses are fair and timely. Good job all!

Props to Steph in particular for being on a lot and being patient with ppl that are constantly needing staff attention.

Suggestion: I think that if mods are not able to "spawn" blocks/items, they should at least be given some kind of weekly allowance to assist with there builds. Being a mod can be a fairly time consuming job and I think it would help motivate the moderators to play more if they could focus on their duties and building, as opposed to dealing with complaints/griefs then having to spend what free time they do get mining for their builds.
