So, I heard a conversation between Pri and some others about something I thought was mentioned as a soundpack? Or you would have to install server textures/sounds? What does it all mean, anyways? Because if you did, I had a great idea - replace sounds with the old minecraft sounds.
The only difference between dicking around and science...

Well my friend there is already a mod for that, AntVenom did a review on it. Within the mod you can get all types of sound packs, like legend of zelda sound packs etc. But yes Dinnerbone is planing to do something with texture packs, infact he might be redesigning the whole system. Go to www.mojang.com and go back in the snapshots and you'll find the facts:) Hope I helped. :shock:

Here is the run down:

Texturepacks, they are gone, scrapped.... Dinnerbone threw them away.

Resource Packs, they are the modern texturepack. Not only do they change texutres, but they can change sounds, language files, and other cool stuff in the future... and soon to be mods!
