Alert: Raised water level bug on Survival

This is just a notice to make you all aware that we have found a raised water level bug on survival. This is a bug where spontaneously large pools of water raise up one block and destroy any block where the water raises.
I believe this bug is due to a 1.5 Developer version we used a few weeks ago when we first switched to 1.5 or possibly when we switched to 1.4.7 with 1.5 protocol support.
The important thing is we have only found one of these bugs where the sea level raised one block high across an area covering 160 Million blocks. I have since WorldEdited away the 160 Million water blocks leaving air in their place. If you are in an area where this affects you please let me know and I will do my best to correct the problem around your creations.
We do have backups of the entire world map so we can revert back but to do so I would need to take the server offline for possibly several hours while I go through each backup to find the one a day before this occurred and then MCEdit the fixed parts in to our current map. I don't really want to do that so as an alternative I have WorldEdited the water away and we are going to fix reported structures on a case by case basis.
The good news is most of what was affected by this are abandoned structures and open ground not yet inhabited so it isn't too much of a problem. We also have LogBlock data for this whole area so if it did cut through something you built we can simply redo what you placed from that database in a specific area.
Thank you for reading.
