Changes to Tekkit Server

Sun Aug 05, 2012 1:30 pm

Our tekkit server is offline until further notice while we decide the future of the Tekkit mod on our servers.

Thanks to this mod: http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/p ... them.6642/

Tekkit is now back online and for the first time protected against the shitty affects of EE and we can now log EE griefing and roll it back. I'm sorry for the downtime today I really did think the server would not be coming back but this mod to EE2 has enabled me to bring the server back online.

Vod, Rick and Rav discovered that 2 players had sometime during the night griefed Ibex and infernos base. Ibex was hit with Nova cataclysm bombs and all that remains is a big hole and a skyscraper (Basically there is some remains of the walls of it). Pri took control over their inventories and discovered another 1000 nova bombs left. He took the deciscion to stop Tekkit totally, since they couldnt rollback the damage done properly.

I think there should be a whitelist, that would help a ton. Since i spent like 15 hours through the night making my junk, i dont want tekkit to be gone.

Lets sign a petition for whitelist.

Tekkit is gone guys, if someday it does come back it will not be the same map due to the damage done, but it may be the survival map at the time tekkit is back, imported, so anything you have done in tekkit up until now will sadly, not be seen again. if tekkit ever comes back it'll be a fresh start for us all once more.

Ibex, spawn and admancave were reduced to huge holes from bedrock to sky, it was virtually non salvageable. and until tekkit has better logging and protection, even with a whitelist (apprentice+) there would always be a chance of it happening again.

We may look at tekkit again in the future. possibly sometime after 1.4 if tekkit moves to the new modding API. but until then we have Survival and creative to enjoy.
