Tekkit Mobs

So did we really remove mobs from the tekkit server? Is this a permanent solution?

Mobs, AFAIK, are not entirely removed, but have a very small spawn rate. This is not so in the Nether, and I assume the end.

The maximum spawn of mobs on the tekkit server is very low due to performance issues.

It's set to 1000 on the main tekkit world but I still see quite a few mobs around my own area.
