Server SSD upgrade completed.

Tue Jun 19, 2012 6:53 pm

A brand new OCZ Vertex 3 SSD has been installed in to the server and the Survival and Creative game servers are now running from it. You should notice much faster chunk loading especially on creative than you have done since around Sunday when the old SSD was removed from the server.

That is all. And remember there will be downtime this friday for even more server upgrades but those will take significantly longer. I may delay those upgrades depending on what happens on friday but right now it's still on schedule for June 22nd.

The reason for this upgrade was that after I shut the server off one of the SSD's out and put it in my MacBook Pro. So when I put the servers back online we had no SSD in there and I liked how fast my MacBook Pro was after putting the SSD in there. So I juts bought another one for the server.
