So Asus finally sent me back my Video card and the status in the email said "repaired". I was so happy. This morning I popped it into my computer and so my surprise my pc would not turn on... same thing I RMA'd it for... so I called up ASUS and now my card is being sent back to them for a 2nd time. So another 2 weeks before I can start the titanic up

To be a little more specific for those who know hardware. The pc will turn on and attempt to display bios but instead will flash from a grey screen full of symbols (artifacts) to a flat blank black screen. Back and forth until I turn my power supply off.

That sucks and I'm surprised that their RMA service is so poor as I really love their products.

Darn, that's terrible! If only we could fix things ourselves :/

I have an anecdote about that Db696.

A long time ago in a galaxy .. well a forum far far away there lived a computer geek who has purchased an NVIDIA 6800 Vanilla. Over the course of a year the graphics cards GPU the centre chip that runs the card became detached from the circuit board. It was a well known problem with those cards due to the heat they produced melting the solder that held the chip down.

So what did he do? It was out of warranty so he decided to fix it himself. So he actually lined a tray with tin foil took the cards plastic shied off and then cooked his card in his oven for 20 minutes. And by god it worked.

Don't try that at home kids haha ^
